EPICURE Easter Masterclass
the winning eggs. not mine.
Fancy yourself as a bit of a chocolate decorator? I did. But I shouldn't have. EPICURE
staged another of their engaging masterclasses, where their super talent pastry chefs - led by the always engaging Executive Chef Peter Haycroft - tried to teach us mere mortals the fine art of decorating. It's a classic case of "why, that looks so easy", and yet when you put piping case to perfectly formed handmade chocolate egg, it's far easier said than done.
Held at the Hawthorn Arts Centre
's glorious Main Hall, the EPICURE team challenged our creativity to its limits. The result? A half-dozen chocolate eggs that I could take home and proudly tell the relos "I made it myself"*.* actually, that didn't happen. I ate them on my own before Good Friday.
